CIW Foundations 1D0-510 Series

The CIW Foundations exam validates the basic hands-on skills and knowledge that a professional is expected to understand and use. Foundational skills include basic knowledge of Internet technologies, network infrastructure, Web authoring using XHTML, and job skills such as project management.

The CIW Foundations 1D0-510 series is designed to prepare the student to pass the CIW Foundations 1D0-510 exam.

This series covers the three topic areas addressed by the exam: Internet Fundamentals, Web Page Authoring Fundamentals, and Networking Fundamentals.

The candidate must pass CIW foundation exam to become a CIW Associate. CIW Associate certification is also required to qualify for all CIW Professional and Master CIW certifications

CIW Security 1D0-470 Series

The CIW Security Analyst Certification recognizes the achievements of those who have already attained a level of proficiency in networking administration and now wants to validate and prove their competencies in security. It provides focused and streamlined validation of further proficiency in areas pertaining to systems security.

A CIW Security Professional implements security policy, identifies security threats, and develops countermeasures using firewall systems and attack-recognition technologies. It covers the fundamental concepts, principles of network security, networking models, such as TCP/IP and the OSI reference model, and it explains the security vulnerabilities of protocols used at each layer in the model.
